The "Initial Commit"
If you've looked at my resume lately, you'll notice a pretty significant pivot. I spent years as a Senior Web Developer and Project Manager at eDOC Innovations, immersed in web components, database migrations, and sprint cycles. Today, I am an HR professional.
At first glance, it looks like a total 180. But to me, these worlds are not as far apart as they seem. My transition was not about leaving technology behind; it was about realizing that the systems and operations I care about most are made of people, not code.
Improving the "User Experience" of Work
I do not believe in reducing people to binary logic or simple processes. In fact, it is the opposite. I have seen how clunky, poorly implemented administrative processes can drain the energy out of a team.
My goal in shifting to People Operations is to use my technical background to remove that friction. If I can "debug" a recruitment workflow or optimize an onboarding process, it means we can spend less time fighting systems and more time doing what we do best: caring for our teams, our departments, and our communities.
What You Can Expect
This blog is my "digital garden." It is a place to document how a builder's mindset can create a more empathetic and efficient professional world. I will be sharing thoughts on:
- • Human-Centric Tech: How tools should empower people, not replace them (like some folks believe).
- • The SHRM-CP Journey: Documenting my path toward HR certification and the lessons that come with it.
- • Interesting HR Topics: The HR field is incredibly varied and exciting, and I want to share the fun side of the profession that people often miss.
Handcrafted (No Slop)
I take pride in my work! Everything you read here is written by me, not generated by a prompt. In an increasingly automated world, I believe the most valuable thing we can offer each other is an authentic human perspective.
Thanks for stopping by. Let's build something great for each other.
